Monday Morning Stars

I added 2 stars to the mix this week...not a ton, but I was very busy with work this past week with a ton of traveling and we went to a concert Saturday night.

The star on the right is from the backing fabric for a quilt that I made for my husband's grandmother.  The star on the right is from the Brown Bear, Brown Bear quilt that I made for my daughter several years ago (it was my first quilt ever!!)

I also finished up this scarf.  I slightly modified the pattern to make it a tad bit longer.  The pattern cab be found here.  It is a quick and easy scarf.  This is the second time I have knitted up this pattern.  I need to wrap the scarf and put it away for my sister's Christmas gift.

Knitting

One project in the works...I'm almost finished with this one.  It's a perfect project while on really long conference calls :). It is totally mindless knitting.

WIP Wednesday

I am making another oversize churn dash quilt to take to the Brain Rehabilitation Unit and am getting rid of fabric in my stash.  I was able to cut up all the blue fabric from a quilt challenge I didn't participate in, but bought the fabric.  I also used up white that I had.  I ordered the grey and the awesome baby whales for the backing.

Just need to add sashing to this one and I will baste it up with scrap batting (yeah for cleaning up for a good cause!!)

I am linking up with WIP Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced.

Ellies are Finished

I finished sewing the binding on to the Ellie quilt this weekend, added the tag and washed it up.

Monday Morning Stars

I added 4 stars to the mix this weekend.  This was my view from the dock while I watched my girls swim.  I only made 4 stars this weekend because I was swimming with them :)  I also spent some time knitting (more on that later).

The pink star is made from some backing fabric of a quilt I made using receiving blankets from my cousin's daughter's stay in the NICU.

The solid grey is from another quilt in the works for the Brain Rehabilitation unit (more on that one later this week).

The ladybugs are scraps from this quilt. The sweet baby girl I made the quilt for has since earned her angel wings.

For the life of me I can't remember where I used this fabric.  I think it may be from a quilt I made for my first FMQ experience or I may had just bought it to bind a quilt... I will have to look through photos to figure it out :)

Last One

I finished block #12 last night...now on to cutting all the finishing pieces

While I love this quilt I'm not sure about the fabrics...I will have to see when it is all finished up and quilted.
